Alan and Mimi Dobbs of Industeq were invited for a
2nd time to the NOP factory in Kumagaya. While there, they received training on 2 series pump repair
and proper adjustments, along with hands on training on the disassembly and key
features of the common Index motors. The training gave a great deal of factory
know how on the internals and troubleshooting of the Nippon Oil Pump index
motor.
Industeq now has adequate information to properly be a authorized NOP
repair facility for the index motors along with the common Trochoid
pumps.
There were also round table meetings at Nippon Oil Pump, where they discussed the
growing demand for lubrication pumps within the wind generation
industries.
NOP is working closely with several windmill gearbox manufacturers,
and now have some new higher RPM 3 series oil pumps using radial needle roller
bearings to accommodate the higher speed needed on the gearboxes being used on
wind generators worldwide. The wind power gearboxes normally take more abuse
considering the environment and non-human contact for longer periods. Due to this, the
dependability of the “Heart” of the gearbox is a must. Nippon Oil Pumps have a
long standing success and are used with a handful of wind power / windmill
manufacturers in Japan & China. NOP is considering to design a turn-key kit
for the complete lubrication needs of the wind generation gearboxes using other
name brand 3rd party oil filters and heat exchangers.
NOP also
will also introduce complete bolts on multi station turrets for lathes and
turning centers encompassing the reliable index motors within. Sizes are to be
determined in the near future.
